
THE KANANASKIS WELLNESS WEEKEND TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Assumption of Risk: By registering for and attending The Kananaskis Wellness Weekend, you acknowledge that participating in activities such as yoga, sound healing, breathwork, movement practices, outdoor excursions, and other wellness-related activities carries inherent risks. You agree to assume full responsibility for your participation in all activities.
You agree to release Kananaskis Wellness Weekend, its facilitators, and partners from any liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in the retreat, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional harm.

2. Health and Medical Disclosure: It is your responsibility to inform Kananaskis Wellness Weekend & Tim Horton Camp of any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or special needs that may affect your participation. This includes, but is not limited to, food allergies, life-threatening conditions, or physical limitations. Failure to disclose such conditions may impact your safety or the safety of others.
If you have any life-threatening allergies, please notify us in advance (at least one week prior to the retreat). You are responsible for bringing any necessary medications, such as an EpiPen, if you have severe allergies.
By attending, you confirm that you are in good health and able to participate in all activities. If you are under the care of a physician or have any concerns regarding your ability to participate, please consult with your doctor before attending.

3. Photo and Video Consent: By attending the Kananaskis Wellness Retreat, you grant Somatika permission to take photographs and videos of you during the event for marketing, promotional, and educational purposes. These materials may be used on our website, social media platforms, and other promotional outlets. If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please notify the event organizers in advance, and we will respect your wishes.
Your personal information will only be used for retreat communication purposes and will not be shared with third parties, in accordance with PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act).

4. Alcohol and Outside Food/Drink: To ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, alcohol consumption is prohibited during retreat activities. Additionally, we ask that participants refrain from bringing outside food or beverages as per Tim Horton Camp Policy. Please inform us of any dietary needs in the Tim Horton Registration Link

5. Liability Waiver: By attending the retreat, you agree to waive any claims against Somatika, its facilitators, and partners for personal injury, loss, or damage caused by ordinary negligence. However, this waiver does not apply to claims arising from gross negligence or intentional harm. You acknowledge and accept the risks associated with participating in wellness activities and outdoor excursions.
6. Refunds and Cancellations: Due to the nature of the event and logistical planning, all payments are non-refundable. However, if you are unable to attend for any reason, you may transfer your registration to another attendee up to 8 days before check-in.
In the event that Kananaskis Wellness Weekend cancels the retreat due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g.health and safety concerns, or other emergency situations), you will receive a full refund or be transferred to a future event of equal value.

7. Code of Conduct: We strive to create a peaceful, respectful, community for all participants. By attending, you agree to treat others with kindness and respect. Disrespectful or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Participants who fail to follow the code of conduct may be asked to leave the retreat without refund.

8. Insurance: It is strongly recommended that you purchase personal travel insurance to cover cancellation, health, and any travel-related issues. Kananaskis Wellness Weekend provides general liability coverage for the event, but we are not responsible for any personal injury, property loss, or other personal concerns during the retreat. You are responsible for ensuring that you have appropriate coverage for your individual needs.

9. Accommodation and Meals: Food and lodging are included in the retreat package. Participants will be assigned bunk-style accommodations. Each room consists of two bunk beds, each room will be assigned to 1-3 people based on your accommodation selection and up to 4 if the full group requests. Bathrooms are shared, one between every two rooms. If you have a specific request or preference regarding your accommodation (e.g., bunkmate), please list their full name in your registration notes and have your bunk mate request you by your full name as well. Remaining single bunks will be assigned by gender.

10. Personal Belongings: Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings during the retreat. Kananaskis Wellness Weekend is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged property.
11. Jurisdiction: These Terms and Conditions are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any legal actions or disputes arising out of these Terms and Conditions will be resolved in the courts located within Alberta.
12. Acknowledgment of Terms: By registering for and attending the Kananaskis Wellness Retreat, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the Terms and Conditions outlined above. You also acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating in the retreat and assume responsibility for your health, safety, and well-being throughout the event.
